The School will host its 4th annual in-house, interdisciplinary conference on March 7th and 8th, 2013. This topic of this year’s conference is literature and cultural studies, with special focus on the following:

Interdisciplinarity:

Panels are organized across departments and disciplines, and all presentations will be in English.

Graduate Studies:

The School prides itself on fostering collaborative relationships between faculty and students. The panels of this year’s conference feature graduate students presenting alongside faculty members, and, for the first time in its 4-year history, the conference will feature a graduate roundtableRetelling Emancipation: The Worker, the Rebel, and the Slave.

Undergraduate Research:

For the second year in a row, the conference will feature an undergraduate poster session. This session brings attention to the outstanding work being done by Humanities undergraduates, and also prepares students for the university-wide Student Research Forum. Thanks to generous funding from the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Affairs, we are able to offer monetary prizes for the top three undergraduate presentations.
