The film: When the Ullichs gather at their Vienna palace to determine who will inherit the family business, the matriarch drops dead just as she’s about to sign on the dotted line. But much to everyone’s surprise, she reappears. And she’s not the only one. Generations of befuddled, deceased ancestors also rise up, bringing with them long-buried family secrets, including unsavory ties to Austria’s fascist history. This inventive, Clue-like mystery-cum-love-story comes to terms with the past-as it’s happening. Original title: Die Nacht der 1000 Stunden.
