The talk will introduce the audience to the German tradition of student
fraternity life, focusing on the German-nationalist fraternity subtypes. It will
also compare and contrast fraternities in the German tradition with
fraternities of the American Greek-letter kind, with a special attention to
their concepts of masculinity.
