Kerry Gawne awarded scholarship for the Institute for Interdisciplinary Polish Studies at the Europa-Universität
Graduating senior Kerry Gawne was awarded a tuition waiver scholarship to attend the Summer School of Polish and German at the Institute for Interdisciplinary Polish Studies at the Europa-Universität Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) from June 9-July 18, 2014. The program designed for university-level (post-doctoral, doctoral, graduate or advanced undergraduate) researchers interested in Polish and German studies broadly defined, is more than a language course. In addition to providing the equivalent of one academic year of intermediate/advanced language instruction (in six weeks), the summer school also offers university seminars on Polish, German, and European studies (in English, German and Polish) by the academic staff of a renowned university.
