About
Ruth Ireti Falaiye is a PhD student in the Department of Germanic Studies. Her research interests are focused on Postcolonial Studies, Intercultural Studies, and Migration. She is especially interested in exploring how literature can reflect and challenge the legacies of colonialism and imperialism. Additionally, Ireti is keen to examine how postcolonial theory can offer a productive lens through which to view complex issues such as migration, identity construction, memory formation, cultural hybridity, borders, and border negotiation. When she's not studying, Ireti enjoys traveling, spending time with friends, and pursuing her fashion design and photography hobbies.
