Teaching of German

Introduction

For students interested in education, the Department of Germanic Studies offers a major in the teaching of German. This program allows students to take courses in advanced German and in second language teaching. Students supplement coursework with real-world teaching experience as student teachers.

The major prepares students for teaching certification in the state of Illinois.
